Connections - as above so below
CONNECTIONS – AS ABOVE SO BELOW
Let’s not forget we are living on a planet that is rotating around a star in an infinite universe. The planet is so perfectly placed that it is the right temperature and has the right amount of light to sustain the life of millions of species. Each species has its own way of being, its own needs and purpose, and its own energy field. We are one of those species.
The torus shape, like a doughnut, resembles our energy field shows the flow of connections to us and through us, above and below, and all around. When the energy moves freely around us and through us, we feel clear, we are inspired with life, we have purpose and all is well.
If we stand upright, hold ourselves up and allow a column of energy to flow from the skies above through our body to the Earth below, we invite alignment, and when we have alignment, we allow the energy to flow. Above us we have the light and inspiration to take us forward held and supported by the energies and wisdom of the Earth and our ancestors below us.
Energies from emotions and past experiences can get caught in our energy field. They may feel heavy as they haven’t yet been processed, which affects the flow of our energy causing us to feel stuck or slow and lethargic. Over time this can affect our physical body, our posture, we may hang our heads and cut off our connection to the skies. Cut off from our inspiration, we look to stimulus outside of ourselves – the media or the internet maybe and we disconnect from nature and the planet.
This lack of connection can bring on feelings of anxiety and overwhelm as we have nowhere for our feelings to go and they remain in the body, we don’t know how to move forward and lack purpose. The spirit becomes out of balance and is disharmonious.
Ways that we can help our connection to the Earth below:
· Go out for walks in nature, especially around trees and lots of green
· Put your bare feet onto the Earth as much as you can and tune into the energy below
· Consciously ground yourself every day
· Use natural materials and floorcoverings in your home so that you conduct energy between yourself and the planet
· Consider the Earth when choosing what to buy and where to invest your energy
· Work through your emotions and feelings, give yourself time to process life
Ways that we can strengthen our connection to the Skies above:
· Be aware of how you feel at different times of day and through the seasons with respect to the influence of the Sun
· Feel the response within you from the sunlight you receive - watch the sunrise and the sunset
· Notice the cycles of the Moon and how this relates to your emotions
· Increase your knowledge of the other planets and stars and what energies they are emanating above us
· Spend time in stillness, sitting upright, allowing the light into your crown
· Become aware of yourself and your actions, your thoughts
